Harnessing Power From Within
POWER IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE EASILY MISINTERPRETED BECAUSE WHEN WE SEE SOMEONE WITH STATUS, LOTS OF MONEY OR POSITION WE COULD LABEL THEM AS HAVING POWER…BUT POWER IS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT.
When you take away all their money, access, and position are they still powerful? I have learnt that there is a source of power deep within myself that fuels me in much bigger and more profound ways. That source of power has served me in more purposes in the last while than it ever has before.
Once this natural energy of power is awakened, there is confidence and strength because there is a connection to limitless power. When our self esteem and strength comes from our true self, not the ego self, we have it for a lifetime. We are resilient no matter what ups and down we face.
When one is aligned with true power, one is more accepting, calm, optimistic and whole. True power is strength over time and in times of struggle it's this power that one calls upon and that we can share generously with others who need our support. Throughout life, as early as childhood, we may have been told that those with power is something that someone has who possesses an exceptionally strong ego and will. These ideas of the world have changed though through acts of gentleness, kindness and love.
Individual strength and power are limited, but when we are in tune with our true selves we are able to access a power source from within that is inexhaustible. It has been said that we are never given more than we can handle, this is often expressed to provide comfort and encouragement in times of struggle in life. Yet, there are times and situations that seem almost unbearable that the next steps seem impossible. It is in these moments that we must tune into this source of internal power.
"I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time." Anna Freud
